Introduction

Our Nursery, Childcare, and Pre-School Sunday School is a God-centered, child-oriented ministry by a team of truly dedicated staff and volunteers who care for and teach our littlest family members. We know that children are a blessing from God and we treasure and protect them as the very precious gift that they are. We provide safe, loving, fun, and enriching environments through which children discover and share Christ and celebrate His love for us all. We believe that a child’s experiences here help to shape the foundation of a lifetime of love, service, and Christian fellowship. Each of us understands that the most important job is to care for the children and that the best way to teach a child about the love of Christ is to live by His example.

Our staff is required to be current in CPR and first aid as well as oriented to the expectations of child development, childcare regulations, and the importance of the positions they hold. Staff and volunteers are carefully screened and managed to ensure the highest quality of care and safety for children. The FUMC Nursery Committee works to assist and support the many activities, needs, and outreach of our ministry.

On Sunday morning’s beginning at 8:00 until the close of our last service, we are there at the “Ark” to take care of children from newborns to pre-kindergarten. At 9:00 and 10:10, we have Sunday School classes for children from 3-year olds up through pre-kindergartners. Children’s classes are determined by their age at the beginning of the academic year (age by September 1st). Our curriculum is a fun combination of interactive stories, games, crafts, music, and other activities that teach by hands-on experience.

Throughout the week, we provide childcare during the day and evenings for children of all ages. Special-event childcare is available upon request. Other opportunities to serve the community include our monthly Parents’ Night Out Program that has been recognized as one of the best in the area. The summer children’s program, FROG Camp, is an outstanding opportunity for children to learn about and celebrate God in fun-filled fellowship.

Parents' Night Out (PNO) & F.R.O.G Camp (Fully Rely On God)

Looking for some hassel-free family fun ? We have two programs that offer a safe and fun Christian environment for children to socialize together while their parents enjoy some quality alone time. Parents' Night Out (PNO) is offered throughout the year on Friday and/or Saturday nights and F.R.O.G. Camp is offered during the summer. Truth be told, it's a KIDS NIGHT OUT, but shhhhh they don't want us to tell the parents. Check out our PNO/F.R.O.G Camp page for the latest details.
