Vision Committee 2010
Vision Report here!
The Vision Committee recommended their report be adopted
by the Administrative Board on Monday, August 9, 2010.
“A Report on the Work of the Vision Committee” was enthusiastically
received and unanimously approved. The Vision
Committee consisted of 35 church members who met for
one year between August 2009 and August 2010.
The committee was chaired by Dennis Howry. On
Monday night, Scott Kelley presented the task of the
vision committee, the process they completed, the Vision
and three major initiatives for our church's future.
The three major initiatives are -- A Master Plan Initiative,
A Discipleship Initiative and A Mission Initiative.
The Master Plan Initiative will reevaluate and
update the Master Plan for our church site and launch
a new Satellite Service called Water's Edge North.
The Discipleship Initiative will provide a cohesive
path of growth in discipleship for children, youth and
adults. The Mission Initiative will explore innovative
ways to address the needs of children in poverty in
our community and throughout the world. If you
would like to read the Vision Committee Report, please
download it from our website or pick up a copy from
the welcome desk.
