Rev. Ceciliah K. Igweta
Rev. Ceciliah K. Igweta is a graduate of Perkins School
of Theology. She is an ordained Reverend in the Methodist Church in Kenya
(MCK). Before joining Perkins School of Theology, Rev. Ceciliah served in the
Methodist Church back in Kenya. She believes that God’s calling is not only
restricted to the pulpit, but it is all about reaching out to others- living
God’s life here and now. Her passion is to serve and learn with the “least of
these”- to be a voice to the voiceless, especially the orphaned children and
people who are discriminated on the basis of their HIV/ AIDS status. Rev.
Ceciliah believes that we are all called to put a smile on somebody’s face.
Ceciliah enjoys living in a community- the interdependence way of living. She
passionately embraces John Mbiti’s School of Thought, “I am because we are, and
since we are therefore I am.” Rev. Ceciliah is married to Rev. Jacob, and
together are blessed with a dear son, Emmanuel, who is 20 months.
