Sandy Shelley is the accompanist for the Adult Choir, directs the Youth Choir, and plays in the Handbell Choir. She also teaches choir at Sunnyvale Middle School. Sandy has been a middle school choir director for over 25 years. Her choirs have performed at the Texas Music Educators Association convention in 2002 and 2006. She enjoys traveling around the state to clinic other choirs and judge at music contests. Sandy is in her 7th year as vlolunteer director of the First Rowlett Youth Choir. Their past outreach tours have taken the choir to Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, and New Mexico. Sandy is enjoying the empty nest life with husband Don, and enjoys traveling to see their daughter Sarah, an Elementary Education major at the University of North Texas, and son Scott, a Geology major at Oklahoma State University.
