Don Shelley serves as the Director of Worship Ministries at First Rowlett.  He is the coordinator for all three Sunday morning worship services, where he directs the Sanctuary Choir and Adult Handbells and plays keyboards in contemporary worship. He is the coordinator for the worship instrumentalists, praise team, sound team, children’s choirs, and all worship volunteers.  Don is an active arranger in both traditional and contemporary worship. 

Prior to pursuing full-time music ministry, Don was Director of Choral Music at Mesquite High School and at Bowman Middle School in Plano.

Don is married to Sandy, the Director of Choral Music at Sunnyvale Middle School.  Their daughter, Sarah, is an Elementary Education major at the University of North Texas and son, Scott, is a Geology Major at Oklahoma State University. 

Don received his Bachelor of Music degree from Southwest Texas State University, and received his Master of Music Education degree from the University of North Texas.  He is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Texas Choral Directors Association and is an active member in the American Choral Directors Association and Choristers Guild.
