Rev. Jan Davis, Senior Pastor
Jan Davis is a heartfelt preacher, compassionate pastor and dynamic leader. She has nearly 18 years of varied ministry experience in the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. Born and raised in northwestern Pennsylvania, Jan and her husband Deames have lived in Texas for nearly 27 years.
Jan graduated magna cum laude from a small, private Christian liberal arts college and began a career with Texas Instruments in Dallas. She gained corporate leadership experience as a Sales and Marketing manager, before acknowledging a deep call to ordained ministry. Jan attended Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University and obtained her Master of Divinity degree in 2001. She served on staff at Custer Road United Methodist Church, Plano, was pastor in charge at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, Sachse and Executive Pastor at Christ United Methodist Church, Plano. Jan has significant experience in organizational development, church leadership, vision casting, staff management, worship leadership, preaching, finance, operations, strategic planning, church building and building construction.
Jan loves the community of Rowlett Texas and is involved in the Rowlett Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Rowlett Association, Leadership Rowlett and Pray Rowlett. She believes the community should be a better place because of the church and its people. Jan serves in the North Texas Conference in various leadership positions including the Core Leadership Team and the Conference Board of Ministry (vice chair). She is currently seeking her Doctor of Ministry degree in Pastoral Leadership at Perkins School of Theology, SMU.
Jan and her husband, Deames have three daughters, Elora (21), Morgan (19) and Acacia (14). In her free time, Jan enjoys walking, bike riding, reading, pilates and yoga.
